Royal Photographic Society The Royal Photographic Society is the UK's leading photography organisation.

The Society is open to anyone with an interest in photography, and has around 11,600 members worldwide as well as several of our group.

The society's distinctions are internationally respected and sought after by professional and amateur photographers. Over 1000 applications for Licentiate (LRPS), Associate (ARPS) and Fellowship (FRPS) are received each year.

Submissions are held in different categories and are assessed by a qualified Panel of senior members of The Society.

As a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society Peter Bland has encouraged those within the group to use the distinction pathway as a means of developing their skills. The success of this strategy is not only the quality of the images, but the number of members who have achieved a distinction.
